This is Libbi-Faith.

Libbi-Faith suffered a brain injury during her birth when she was starved of oxygen for around twenty minutes. She only had a very weak heart and her chances of survival were very slim. However, thankfully, her doctors worked very hard and she was resuscitated.

Libbi wasn’t given very much hope for survival. Libbi’s family were told that she would only survive for a matter of hours. Libbi’s family were also told that she would have severe brain damage.

Against all odds, Libbi did survive. She is now nine years old. However, Libbi now needs support with everything that most of us take for granted.

She needs support sitting unaided, standing, walking, talking and dressing. She needs constant help with her personal care and is fed via a gastrostomy tube.

Libbi is now a happy little girl who wins the hearts of everyone she meets. She attends school and the staff work very hard to support her. She has a family who love her dearly…and a very special big brother.

However, Libbi’s family cannot provide her with the intensive therapy which she needs. Libbi needs specialist therapy which can only be accessed in the United Kingdom and from the NAPA Centre in the United States. This support can be truly life changing for anyone able to access it. But this support comes at a considerable financial cost.
